Roosters playmaker Drew Hutchison has been rushed to hospital with a suspected punctured lung and broken ribs in a play that will likely force the NRL into a please explain.
In the final minute of the first half during the Tricolours loss to Parramatta, Hutchison copped a nasty shot to the ribs from Dylan Brown, who appeared lead in with the knees while the five-eighth had dived in for a try that was later waved off by the bunker.
However, that same play also saw star fullback James Tedesco cop a nasty high shot due to a shoulder charge from Eels centre Marata Niukore. The Parramatta back was placed on report for the shot on Tedesco, with the Roosters receiving a penalty that resulted in two points as the siren sounded.
