ANN ARBOR, MI David Zinn could have opted for art pieces to keep for as long as he wished.
Instead, the artist uses chalk to create intricate, animated 3D cartoon-like designs on sidewalks and walls throughout Ann Arbor that make passersby stop, look twice and often smile.

Public art has been a mainstay in Ann Arbor during the pandemic, including during this holiday season. Thanks to a group of local artists who call themselves “The Brush Monkeys” holiday window art was created this year around downtown Ann Arbor despite the pandemic.
