Daniella Nowosad says she didn't always feel welcome when she started studying science in her undergrad in Manitoba. Now a University of Guelph grad student, she's helped create an Indigenous undergraduate orientation package to welcome new students.

The 2020 ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting took place virtually this year from December 7‐10.
One of ArcticNet’s main objectives is to contribute to the training of the next generation of scientists needed to study, model, manage and ensure the stewardship of the changing Canadian Arctic. To encourage student research, ArcticNet holds an annual poster competition for excellence in research and presentation.
Winners in the Science category were:
