Some restaurant, hospitality workers to receive $1,000 relief checks from Shelby County

Shelby Co., Tenn. (WMC) - Shelby County Mayor Lee Harrisâ Chief of Staff Danielle Inez said about 2,000 people signed a petition in support of some sort of financial aid for restaurant workers in the county.
The money will be handed out in $1,000 increments.

âFor many of them, $1,000 will aid in paying their rent, utilities and their food at a time when their hours are being cut,â said Inez.
