A 5-year-old boy found dead in Massachusetts after his parents were arrested in New York City had fentanyl in his system and died from neglect, authorities said.
Elijah Lewis, the missing 5-year-old New Hampshire boy found dead in Massachusetts last month, died from “violence and neglect,” officials said Monday.
An autopsy by the chief medical examiner in Massachusetts determined that Elijah Lewis died as a result of homicide, but no charges have been filed in connection to his death as of yet.
Autopsy results for Elijah Lewis, 5, who had been missing from Merrimack for several weeks before his remains were discovered in Massachusetts, are complete. His death has been ruled homicide.
