Public school teams in New York will soon be barred from calling themselves names like the Warriors, Chiefs, or Braves following a ruling by Albany education honchos.
The Board of Regents is expected to approve a policy barring school nicknames like “the Warriors.” A provision allows their use if a tribal nation endorses them.
