On Thursday, police executed a search warrant at a nearby premise and a large quantity of drugs and a firearm were seized.
The seized items include a 9-mm Smith and Wesson pistol, $2,410 in cash, one round of ammunition, 1,324.01 grams of fentanyl, 4.01 grams of Carfentanyl, 617.3 grams of cocaine, 510.27 grams of methamphetamine, 88.64 grams of Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 28.42 grams of Alprazolam (Xanax), unidentified pills, multiple scales, five cellphones and 17 SIM cards. Kristopher Pietila, 37, of Barrie, is charged with 17 offences that include sexual assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats, five counts of fail to comply with a release order, and drug and firearm offences.

Toronto police say two people are facing charges following a firearms investigation in the downtown core.
On the afternoon of May 19, police said they were called to the Yonge Street and Gerrard Street West area for a domestic violence call.
Investigators allege a woman said she was being held hostage by a man and woman, and they had assaulted her. The woman also said there was a firearm and drugs.
