AIR France and Airbus are to face a manslaughter trial for a horror jet crash which killed 228 people including five Brits, judges ruled today.
The Appeal Court decision in Paris follows a 12-year fight for justice by families of those who lost their lives in the worst air disaster in French history.

Air France and Airbus have been ordered to stand trial for manslaughter over the 2009 crash of flight AF447 that killed 228 people. The aeroplane was heading overnight from Rio to Paris when it plunged into the Atlantic in June 2009, killing everyone on board in the deadliest crash in the airline's history. The pilots were found to have been insufficiently trained after a technical malfunction in the Airbus A330 led to inaccurate speed readings..
