Sheriff s Office Lt. Daniel Terry named Fletcher chief of police

Daniel D. Terry has been selected as the town of Fletcher s next chief of police.
Terry was chosen after a comprehensive search that began with a pool of 38 applicants, town officials said in a news release.
Terry, 50, of Hendersonville, will begin his duties on April 5.
Terry currently serves with the Henderson County Sheriff s Office as lieutenant of the Division of Professional Responsibility.
He previously served as a commander with the Elmhurst, Illinois Police Department, retiring after 23 years with the agency. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member with Kaplan University in Chicago.
