Lawrenceburg Man Charged With Attempted Murder Remains At-Large By Travis Thayer

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg man remains at-large after being charged with attempted murder.
Dearborn and Ohio County Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens announced today that Daniel Widener, 45, has been charged with Attempted Murder, Attempted Resisting Law Enforcement, Attempted Aggravated Battery, and Attempted Criminal Recklessness after he attempted to run over a Dearborn County Sheriff Deputy.
Widener came under investigation on March 8 for his alleged involvement in a large methamphetamine trafficking case.
On March 15, a warrant was issued for Widener’s arrest. That same day, Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop Widener’s vehicle, but he fled at a high rate of speed.

LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. (FOX19) - Authorities are still searching for the man charged with the attempted murder of a sheriffâs deputy, according to the prosecuting attorney.
Daniel Widener, 45, was last seen on March 15 when he tried to use his speeding vehicle to hit a sheriffâs deputy, says Dearborn and Ohio Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens.
Widener was being investigated for his possible role in trafficking large amounts of methamphetamine in the Dearborn and Ohio County area, Deddens said.
