Reporter a lot of progress has been made in the past hour or so. Take a look. You can see crews are working right where the fire started on the third rail on platform 2, the westbound side. Now, everything, however, is being singletracked from platform one. This whole thing start after 3 00. Thats when the fire was first spotted. Smoke could be seen for miles. The fire ran about 50 feet and took firefighters about 30 minutes to put it out. They think a faulty power pickup paddle is to blame. Those paddles move and send power into the train. Sometimes thats get stuck in an up position and if they do, they make contact with that fiberglas covering, which would have the potential to set it on fire.

He warns the cliff and coastal winds can be tricky and visitors should stick to the trail.
