FORT SMITH Arkansas State Police on Tuesday charged Michael Lee Fairburn with attempted capital murder and first-degree attempted battery on a law enforcement officer in connection with an officer-involved shooting Oct. 25.
Officials with the Arkansas State Police said a man shot by Fort Smith police who were attempting to arrest him late last month now faces new charges including attempted murder.
