From the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office:
Twenty-nine-year-old Daniel Raymond Aubrey was sentenced today to serve one
year in jail and was given a three-year formal probation term by Judge Kelly Neel after
Aubrey pled guilty on May 5 to two felonies: attempted carjacking of a Eureka resident
and battery on a peace officer with infliction of great bodily injury; and a misdemeanor
battery charge.

The convictions stem from events of October 8, 2020, when Aubrey, while under
the influence of methamphetamine, attempted to push the female driver of a van parked
outside the Courthouse Market on 4th Street in Eureka.
