LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three members of the Wolverine Watchmen militia group, accused in an alleged plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer, are facing new charges, according to a report from WWMT Wednesday.
The report says the three members will now face new federal charges of conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction, as well as federal firearm charges.
The three members are listed as follows:
Barry Croft Jr., 45 (Bear, Delaware)
Daniel Joseph Harris, 23 (Lake Orion, MI)
Adam Fox, 40 (Wyoming, MI)
The three are facing these charges due to alleged plans to destroy a bridge near Governor Whitmer’s vacation home, which would ensure law enforcement wouldn’t be able to cross.
