A flood warning was in effect for areas around the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, while small hail was reported around Coppell and Irving, the NWS said.

Isolated storms that swept westward through the region brought brief periods of heavy rain to some areas while leaving others dry, according to the National Weather Service. Wednesday morning brings another chance for precipitation.
A flood warning was in effect Tuesday evening for areas around Elm Fork of the Trinity River, with water levels reaching above 8 feet, according to the weather service. Severe flooding is not expected, said Daniel Huckaby, an NWS meteorologist.
