The former Peebles Corporation consultant accused of waging a covert email harassment campaign against the developer has filed a motion to dismiss the case, describing the company as “an illegitimate business enterprise.” Don Peebles’ namesake firm filed a lawsuit against its former business consultant Daniel Hoeg at the beginning of April. It claims Hoeg has been sending malicious emails from anonymous accounts to public officials involved in approving the firm’s projects to damage its reputation. Hoeg worked with the Peebles Corporation for a six-month trial period starting in 2012, but Peebles ended the business relationship in April 2013, the lawsuit says. It claims breach of contract and requests an injunction to stop Hoeg from using any materials he still has from the Peebles Corporation for any reason.
