WALLINGFORD â The Board of Education appointed Francis Thompson, principal of Jonathan Law High School in Milford, as the school districtâs new assistant superintendent for personnel this week.
Thompsonâs tentative start date is Sept. 1. He is slated to replace Danielle Bellizzi, who has held the position for three years and was promoted to superintendent of schools last month.

On April 25, 2021, Jon Christopher Lundberg passed away suddenly at his home in Windham ME. He has been cremated and family will have a private service in Windham ME and a Mass at St George Catholic Church in Guilford CT in August. He was born on December 4, 1972 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven CT to Jon L & Millie Lundberg of Madison CT.
Jon graduated from Daniel Hand High School in Madison in 1991. He played goalie on the Daniel Hand Lacrosse team. He then went onto the Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton ME for one year; it was the year that made the difference. He passed the required examinations in 1992. He was on the Bridgton Lacrosse Travelling Team. Next onto Washington College in Chestertown MD, he played on the Shoremen s Lacrosse team all four years.
