live, from the cbs bay area studios, this is kpix5 news. a sex assault that led to shame and suicide. good evening, i m allen martin. and i m julie watts. ken and liz have the night off. betty yu is live at saratoga high with the details. reporter: they were all students here when this assault took place. today, the teen s insurance companies were ordered to pay nearly a million dollars to the pot family. but it is the rest of the settlement that makes this case unique. it is an unusual deal that is not just about money. two teens admitted to sexually assaulting 15-year-old audrey in 2012. and had to apologize to her parents in court today. they have also agreed to make ten presentations at high schools about the dangers of drinking, sexting, sharing nude photos and slut shaming. it is like they are making this a school project which it is very much not. i don t think it will teach kids a lesson. they are going to do whatever they are going to do regardless. rep
