The Mariners skipped out to a 2-0 lead in Tuesday night s match after first-half goals to Urena and Matt Simon.
But in a frenetic second half, Glory pulled one back in the 65th minute through Bruno Fornaroli, before launching wave after wave of attack in search of an equaliser.
Perth came close on numerous occasions, with Andy Keogh fluffing a header, Daniel Stynes having a close-range air swing, and Fornaroli sending a header just over.
Glory captain Diego Castro gave the Mariners all sorts of problems around the penalty area.
But the Mariners stood firm under the intense heat, with the win lifting them four points clear on top of the table.

Alen Stajcic is calling for a siege mentality in Gosford after his side were beaten by Adelaide United in what the Central Coast Mariners coach describes as a one in a million result .
Adelaide came from behind twice to beat the Mariners 3-2 on Friday evening as striker Tomi Juric converted three penalty kicks.
Stajcic s high-flying Mariners were on course to extend their lead atop the competition leader when Golden Boot frontrunner Alou Kuol arrived off the bench and restored the lead in the second half after Juric had cancelled out Daniel De Silva s opener.
But two other penalty decisions in the second stanza saw Juric twice bury spot-kicks to complete his maiden A-League hat-trick and deny Central Coast their first A-League win in the City of Churches since 2016.

Stajcic s side had twice taken the lead in Friday s A-League clash, only for the Reds to be awarded a spot-kick each time, with both being coolly converted by Tomi Juric.
The Socceroos striker then stepped up after United were awarded a third penalty in the 83rd minute and dispatched it to complete his hat-trick of spot-kicks, ensuring the Reds stole all three points.
The Mariners were clearly the better side for much of the night and deserved more from the clash which was marred by VAR and the penalty decisions. Of course, it s affected the result, Stajcic said.
