As the sun was setting Wednesday afternoon, members of Camarillo High School s color guard were practicing on campus in preparation for their upcoming competition season.
Color guard program director Joey Leon stood in front of the group, congregated on a patch of grass near the front of school while the school s winter percussion practiced nearby. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, students and staff are required to wear masks and stay distanced. Any 2-year-old can do this, said Leon, tossing a flag in the air. It s about being detailed.
