LAHORE: First woman Ambassador of European Union Ms Androulla Kaminara along with a delegation called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi at his residence here Tuesday.
The delegation included Political Affairs, Trade and Communication head Daniel Clauss, Charlie and Information Officer Syed Khawar Hussain. During the meeting views were exchanged regarding prevailing national political situations besides matters of mutual interest.
The speaker said that only Kashmir is the basic issue between Pakistan and India. âWe want Kashmir dispute to be resolved peacefully according to the United Nations Resolutions. Civil and military leadership and entire nation are united on Kashmir issue.
EU to help SMEs get GSP Plus benefits

LAHORE: The European Union will help local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to get the maximum benefits from GSP Plus status, a diplomat said on Wednesday.
In a meeting with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) Chief Executive Officer Hashim Raza on Wednesday, EU Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara said that the union had provided GSP Plus status under 27 conditions, and Pakistan had already ratified several conditions.
Since 2014, Pakistanâs exports to the EU have increased to a substantial level and it has a bright scope for further enhancement through SMEs.
