NHS issue public warning over new Covid-19 vaccine scam. (PA) A number of scams are cropping up as cyber criminals look to take adavantage of the current situation amid the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the NHS has issued a warning to the public, in response to a new Covid-19 scam. Fraudsters are contacting unsuspecting victims via email, sending a fake invitation to be vaccinated, and includes a link to a website to “register” for the vaccine. However, legitimate vaccine emails require no such registration. The fake website also asks for bank details, either to verify identification or to make a payment.

The NHS has warned people to be vigilant about fake invitations to have the coronavirus vaccination, sent by scammers.
The scam email includes a link to register for the vaccine, but no registration for the real vaccination is required.
The fake site also asks for bank details either to verify identification or to make a payment.
The NHS says it would never ask for bank details, and the vaccine is free.
Cyber-security consultant Daniel Card told BBC News that traffic data indicates thousands of people had clicked the link to the fake site - although it is unclear how many then filled in the form.

A federal judge in Oklahoma has ordered the new owners of an Oklahoma zoo featured in Netflix’s “Tiger King” documentary to turn over all the lion and tiger cubs in their possession, along with the animals mothers, to the federal government.
U.S. District Judge John F. Heil III issued the order last week in the case against Jeffrey and Lauren Lowe and the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park based on claimed violations of the Endangered Species Act and the Animal Welfare Act.
