WOODMERE, Ohio – Political discord arising over an unlikely assortment of issues, including wayward chickens, a neglected website and an all-expense-paid sidewalk, threatens to upend the government in this tiny community on the eastern side of Cuyahoga County.
Those of voting age in the village of fewer than 900 citizens are being asked this month to recall no fewer than four of the seven members of the Village Council, a radical though not unprecedented move in Ohio’s annals of modern municipal disputes.
