Therese Lum became a shock elimination from
MasterChef Australia last night, sent home after a punishing dessert challenge -with her Immunity pin intact.
Therese becomes only the third contestant in the show’s history to be sent home without using an Immunity pin, following from Loki Madireddi (Season 10) and Dani Venn (Season 12).
This year she even had a new advantage of being able to play the pin at any time during a challenge. Fellow contestants were yelling from the gantry to use the pin, but Therese hesitated in the challenge set by chocolatier Kirsten Tibballs. Even the judges repeatedly asked whether she wanted to play her pin.

To make the pasta she simply chopped up the capsicums and added them to the pan with the boiled gnocchi, tomatoes, chopped onion, garlic and parmesan cheese.
She then put the tray in the oven at about 180C until it was golden brown, sprinkling over some basil to serve. This looks delicious, one woman said.
Another suggested people switch the dried gnocchi out for a fresh variety found in the fridge section of Coles. The pumpkin one is amazing, the woman offered.
Single dish pasta is one of the biggest food trends of 2021.
Masterchef star Dani Venn recently shared her recipe for a single dish pumpkin macaroni and cheese.
