Ahead of completion of the Dangote Oil Refinery, the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) has expressed an intention to engage the management of the company on commercial terms regarding the lifting of its refined petroleum products.
On the 17th of February 2021, the MOMAN CEOs had a virtual meeting with Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group and Mr. Edwin, where the Dangote Group presented its project and which culminated to this physical site visit.
The marketers, who toured the 650,000 barrels-per-day single train refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos recently, expressed belief that the Dangote Oil Refinery would help remove the various bottlenecks associated with importation of petroleum products into the country.

Lagos, July 4, 2021 The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) has expressed interest to lift refined petroleum products from the Dangote Refinery, Lagos which is at completion stage.
The Dangote Group made the announcement in a statement posted on its website on Sunday and obtained by journalists in Lagos.
The statement said the marketers made the request during a recent visit to the site of the 650,000 barrels-per-day single train refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
Speaking after the visit, Mr Adetunji Oyebanji, the Chairman of MOMAN, said the refinery would help remove the various bottlenecks associated with importation of petroleum products into the country.

Charge D’Affaires, Embassy of Nigeria in Senegal, Mr. A.K Zanna, has stated that the 650,000 barrels per day Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos will bridge the supply gap for petroleum products across the African continent.
A statement by Dangote Industries Limited on Tuesday said Zanna also stated that the Dangote Fertiliser plant is a crucial project that would spur the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, as well as the realisation of the Africa Union Agenda 2063.
The envoy who lauded the contributions of Dangote Cement’s investment in Senegal and Africa in general stated that the realisation of the UN SDGs would not be possible without the use of fertilizer in crop production.
