The Duval County public school landscape could look very different - in the next few years. Two dozen schools are on the chopping block or could be consolidated.
On Tuesday night, the Duval County School Board decided to push back consolidating 2 magnet schools to next year: R.V. Daniel Elementary and R.L. Brown Gifted and Talented Academy.
The search for the next superintendent of Duval County Public Schools is underway and applications are being accepted through April 15. There are four candidates on the list right now.
When the board paused the search last year, it said there were a lack of qualified applicants and the plan would be to re-advertise the position later.
