An auto parts maker which supplies parts to Detroit's big three car manufacturers, is laying off 240 employees in Fort Wayne. DANA, Inc. says the layoffs are because of the United Auto Workers strike.
Nearly a week has passed since the contract for 150,000 Big Three workers expired last Thursday, and it is becoming increasingly clear that the “stand up strike” called by the UAW bureaucracy is much less a “strike” than a tactic aimed at weakening, dividing and isolating the rank and file to force through massive concessions.
