KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd grew its net asset value (NAV) to RM86bil in 2021 from RM79bil in the previous year despite facing the headwinds brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
DATUK Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir, who took over as managing director of Khazanah Nasional Bhd in mid-July 2021, tells The Edge that the great reset forced by Covid-19 has allowed the institution to rethink the way things are done.
Khazanah Nasional Bhd is no longer the country’s largest sovereign wealth fund. But as Malaysia’s strategic investment arm, it is expected to do more to help the nation rebound stronger and close gaps worsened by Covid-19 while delivering decent dividends to the government.
