DANA POINT, CA An afternoon hike turned into a dangerous situation for three people in Dana Point, in the area of Dana Cove on Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m., a woman and two children (unknown ages) were stuck halfway up a cliff in Dana Point, Capt. Sean Doran tells Patch. It was not immediately clear how they had gotten themselves into such a precarious spot.
Orange County Fire Authority and Orange County Sheriff s Department arrived at the scene with technical rescue gear to aid in their rescue. It is not yet known how they called for help or how long they were trapped on the sheer face of the cove.
