President Muhammadu Buhari would be in the United States to honour President Joe Biden's invitation as Biden hosts at least 49 African heads of state for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit between December 13 and 15, 2022. The summit which will also be attended by the chairman of the African Union will be held in Washington DC. The U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit is one of Biden’s top foreign-policy priorities this year and would also be the first opportunity for his administration to showcase how it views U.S.-Africa relations after Donald Trump’s presidency.
