The town of Batavia will hold a public hearing Nov. 8 on a preliminary 2024 budget of $21,945,934. The hearing is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at the Batavia Town Hall.
BATAVIA â The town of Batavia has scheduled a public hearing for 7 p.m. Jan. 20 to take public comments on a proposed local law for a moratorium on solar energy systems.
Deputy Supervisor Dan Underhill asked whether the hearing would be in the Town Hall or would have to be done by Zoom video conferencing.
âI believe weâre going to have to do it Zoom unless things get better,â Supervisor Gregory Post said. âWeâll be taking trainings after the first of the year and trying to work with IT to make sure we have a fair and robust opportunity for anyone that wishes to comment on this. Itâs possible that this public hearing may very well be extended.â
