louisiana shoreline by tomorrow. there is apparently five times as much oil leaking as originally estimated. it s headed straight for a wildlife refuge. oyster beds, fisheries, volunteers have prepared to deploy oil-skimming booms along the shore, and may face a major battle. the blown-out oil rig may be dumping more than 200,000 gallons of crude oil into the gulf every day, enough to fill an olympic size swimming pool to a depth of two feet. and of course, 11 people who were on the drilling platform have never been found. some workers who managed to escape are having trouble coping with what happened. carlos may ramos escaped the blast, but his wife says it s haunting him. people were on fire, jumping overboard. he s at home right now with our baby, and if there is a loud noise, he drops. if there is a heavy toy that s dropped, he s started. i m hoping these men can all get help. the human impact of the story, okay? ramos is talking to a lawyer about a possible lawsuit.
