Spalding wombles make good use of bad rubbish

Underground, overground, and all over Spalding, âwomblesâ can be spotted litter picking.
A group of residents, affectionately named The Wombles of Spalding Common, have been spending their free time collecting and clearing rubbish from areas of the town since they set up at the start of the year.
The group, which has grown to almost 800 members in the space of two weeks, has so far collected more than 300 bags of rubbish while on litter picks.
