Avidyne, Daedalean To Develop AI-Based Avionics Vision Systems

Avidyne Corporation is teaming up with artificial intelligence (AI) software company Daedalean to develop, manufacture and certify AI-based airborne systems for aviation. The initial offering, to be called the Avidyne PilotEye Vision System, is designed to serve as a “never-tired, never-distracted second set of eyes” that will scan for and identify everything from traffic and airborne hazards to potential emergency landing sites. PilotEye is aimed at the general aviation, special missions and advanced air mobility markets.

Avidyne introduces Vantage Avionics
Avionics manufacturer Avidyne announced a new suite of avionics this week aimed at upgrading GA cockpits.
Called Avidyne Vantage, the new avionics are being released as a retrofit to replace ageing Avidyne systems that have been in use for many years.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce Vantage as an innovative option for GA pilots seeking to update their flight decks,” said Avidyne President, Dan Schwinn. “We’ve challenged ourselves to provide large displays that are even easier to use than our earlier products, while being more capable and functional than anything we have done before.
