The Neill Public Library will move its controversial painting of Thomas Jefferson to a different wall in June following a monthlong exhibit sharing educational information about the third U.S. president.
After calls for its removal, the Thomas Jefferson portrait is still on display at Pullman’s Neill Public Library. The Library Board of Trustees concluded that Library Director Joanna Bailey will ultimately decide what to do with the portrait, said Donna Potts, WSU English professor and board member. The board heard heard comments from the public.

More than a dozen people presented arguments Tuesday as to whether a painting of Thomas Jefferson should be removed from its location at the entryway of the Neill Public Library
