manich@leaderherald.com JOHNSTOWN The Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education appointed an athletic director among personnel items approved at its recent meeting. The board approved the term appointment of Michael Satterlee as director of athletics, health, P.E. and recreation, at a salary not to exceed $30,000, effective Jan. 1 through June 30. He has certification in New York State Permanent Physical Education and New York State Permanent School District Administrator. In other personnel action, rescinded a resolution adopted on Aug. 27 approving the term appointment of Tara Bruce as 21 school year. Board members accepted the recommendation of Superintendent William Crankshaw to approve the creation of a full-time administrative assistant position, effective Dec. 15.
