The historic Beach Bowl at 818 Beach Blvd. is getting a $7.5 million overhaul including renovations, remodeling and upgrades.
The Jacksonville Beach Board of Adjustment on Feb. 2 approved the restoration project proposed by Jacksonville-based H&H Enterprises Inc., which owns the bowling alley.
As part of the project, Beach Bowl will expand its footprint, adding a two-story restaurant with rooftop dining, according to a site plan included in the company s application to the city.
