Plans are taking shape to run cross country meets in the Channel League starting next month.
Lompoc High School Athletic Director Claudia Terrones, who oversees cross country in the Channel League, met with coaches of the six league schools to plan a season of competition. The format they came up with has each school competing in two dual meets over three Saturdays. The planned dates are Feb. 27, March 6 and March 13.
