April 26, 2021- Last Friday, the Town of Paradise reclaimed a treasured community space and took a major step forward in rebuilding its community more than two years after the Camp Fire tore through the area. Survivors of the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history can once again return to Bille Park, a 56-acre community hub that is owned and operated by the Paradise Recreation and Park District.
The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), in coordination with various local, state, and federal agencies, announced the full reopening of the developed areas of the park after crews removed the last of the fire-damaged hazard trees that posed a threat to visitors.

More than $500,000 has been awarded for the Magalia and Paradise Lake Loop Trail Project.

PARADISE, Calif. - The Paradise Recreation and Park District recently got an award of more than $500,000 for a 15-mile trail loop project on the Ridge.
According to the district, the almost $507,500 will help construct a multi-use trail loop, called the Magalia and Paradise Lake Loop Trail, to connect the community to the rec areas.
The District said the award came from $27.7 million in funding for projects helping to expand access to the outdoors and boost recreational opportunities for communities across the state.
