The afternoon card features 11 races, with the $8,219 featured trot slated as race nine with Knight Angel (3-1) listed as the early morning line favourite, and runs in concert with racing from Louisville, Kentucky.
French trotter Elegant Dulupin FR was parked every step of the way and resolutely prevailed over the favorite McStoned Again to take Friday’s (April 19) $8,219 featured trot at Cumberland.
When Race Secretary Rob Pennington and his assistant Andrew Topham opened the ‘virtual’ box for First Tracks Cumberland’s opening weekend, they were pleased to find 160 horses had been dropped in for the double draw for Saturday and Sunday (April 13 & 14).
