Voters across the state have approved two constitutional amendments giving the legislature the right to end an emergency disaster declaration and limiting such declarations to 21 days. Did they get it right?
YES. The legislature is the voice of the people and should be part of this process.
NO. The governor should have the sole authority in statewide emergencies.
