Several agencies rushed to wreck, traffic hazard
Wichita Falls firefighters, police, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Wichita County Sheriff’s deputies worked the scene of a hazardous materials incident Monday morning on Seymour Highway near Clyde Morgan Road.
The accident happened around 4:45 a.m. Five fire units, 12 police units and 11 county deputies were called to work the crash scene.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Dan Buesing said it started as a two-vehicle head-on crash, between a semi-tractor trailer and another vehicle.
No major injuries were reported. Buesing said the the hazmat load is not leaking and crews on monitoring it, but approximately 350-400 gallons of diesel has leaked from the truck tractor.
