Hundreds bid farewell to 3 bravehearts of NE, martyred in Maoist attack ​ By IANS | ​ 3 Views   Guwahati/Agartala, April 7 : Hundreds of people from Assam and Tripura on Tuesday bid farewell three of their bravehearts Inspector Dilip Kumar Das, Constables Bablu Rabha and Sambhu Roy, who among the 22 security personnel martyred in Sunday s Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh. Das hailed from Sarupeta in Barpeta district, Rabha from Damra Patpara near Dudhnoi in Goalpara district while Roy was a resident of north Tripura district. All three martyrs belong to Central Reserve Police Force s (CRPF) elite CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) unit s 210 battalion. The CRPF officials along with local administrations and other state security forces on Tuesday offered full force honours during the last rites of the three para-military bravehearts in their respective native villages.

GUWAHATI: Assam on Sunday mourned the death of two of its sons inspector Dilip Kumar Das and constable Bablu Rabha in the attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh. Inspector Dilip Kumar Das hailed from Bheragaon, Barpeta, while constable Bablu Rabha from Damra Patpara near Dudhnoi in Goalpara district. Both belonged to the 210 battalion CRPF’s elite CoBRA unit. He had joined the force nine years ago and is survived by his wife and seven-year-old daughter. Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal paid his homage to the slain jawan. “Heartfelt tributes to CRPF jawan from Assam’s Dudhnoi, Bablu Rabha, who attained martyrdom while bravely fighting against the Maoists in Chhattisgarh. The whole nation stands behind the bereaved family of Swahid Bablu Rabha in this hour of extreme grief. My sincere condolences,” he tweeted.
