For 30 years, Elizabeth Spence’s family has been searching for her killer.
The 27-year-old Lafayette resident and bank employee was reported missing Jan. 2, 1991. A week later, her car was found in the parking lot of a Montgomery department store, her body in the trunk of her Daihatsu Charade.
On Wednesday, the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for Spence’s death was increased to $35,000 after Central Alabama CrimeStoppers added $5,000 to the fund.
With more reward money, prosecutors and Spence’s family are hoping that those who have information on her murder step forward.
