The old saying that there s not a door closes than another opens certainly proved true for fiddle player Zoe Conway last week. Zoe, who lives on the beautiful Cooley peninsula with her husband and fellow musician John McIntrye and their two children, had been looking forward to travelling to Dublin on Friday night to play live on The Late, Late Show when she got a phonecall to tell her to stay at home.
She explained that due to Covid 19 restrictions, the production team felt smaller numbers would be safer, and honestly, as always, health and safety comes first.
So although she had been excited about the chance to play live music along with Donal Lunny, Andy Irvine, Mairtin O Connor, Frankie Galvin and others, Zoe said she appreciated that it was for the best.
