The Del Valle Independent School District's board reinstated a trustee member during its meeting Tuesday after he previously had vacated his seat due to filing homestead tax exemption paperwork in another district last year.
According to the agenda for Monday night’s special meeting, board members meet privately to interview potential candidates for the District 2 trustee seat. Board members are expected to publicly appoint their chosen candidate, who will take the job on Monday night.
Damian Pantoja allegedly filed paperwork claiming primary residence in another school district, which the Del Valle ISD Board's counsel says automatically and immediately removed him from office.
