Health leaders to take stock on anniversary of George Floyd killing

Health leaders and experts are meeting a year after the murder of George Floyd to discuss challenges over racial inequality and to celebrate the individuals making a difference. To mark the anniversary, the NHS Race and Health Observatory is hosting a debate on the health recommendations put forward in the recently published Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities report. “Today is an opportunity for leaders to reflect on progress made since the heinous killing of George Floyd” Joan Saddler The speakers will explore the impact of race on health inequalities, both from a UK and international perspective, as well as looking at questions of identity and mental health.
