Arlee avenged an opening-round loss to Eureka in the battle for third-fourth place during the Western B Divisional Tournament at Salish Kootenai College, Feb. 22-24.
Mission mounted a comeback against Plains but ultimately fell 52-50 to place fourth at the Western 7B District Tournament in St. Ignatius on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Arlee scored at least 20 points in each of the first three quarters to defeat Darby 79-40 Saturday, and finished the regular season campaign in the Western 6B with a record of 7-2.
While many wanted shot clocks to make their way to Montana, some feared cost and personnel manning the clocks would be an issue. In year one, so far, everything has gone smoothly.
