Police said a man was injured Tuesday morning after jumping from an overpass onto U.S. Highway 75.
North and southbound traffic was temporarily shut down on the highway at Haskell Avenue, causing a backup for miles.
Around 8 a.m., Dallas police on Twitter urged residents to avoid the area while officers dealt with “a distressed individual.”

Officers found their bodies inside a home in the 2100 block of Sunrise Trail, near Spring Valley and Jupiter roads, about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
