videotaping? yes, sara. it is a calm scene here as it seems that the dallas county sheriff s department said in the press conference a moment ago, they have the scene under control here, and a lot of the law enforcement is still on the ground here. a lot of media here obviously covering the developments as they still unfold. one of the things that struck me as we heard from the dallas county sheriffs is that they got reports of the incident at 7:37 a.m. local time, and that there was a shooting incident at the school, and multiple gunshot victims. i was driving up here as you mentioned for a vivek ramaswamy event taking place in town around 10:00, and the event was scheduled for around 9:00 a.m. local time. and so i was driving up here in between 8:00 and 9:00 heading towards the event, and so i saw
federal, state, and local officials in dallas county iowa are now investigating this morning shooting at a high school. dallas county sheriff s department held a news conference just a short time ago, mike tobin on the ground has. what we have now officially expires an update is law enforcement officials speaking to the associated press saying that the shooter is dead of a gunshot wound, self-inflicted gunshot wound. what we have to the official channels is that there is no more threat to the public and that is coming from admin fonte with the dallas county sheriff department. we did show that the shooter has been identified, so the information were getting right now it s consistent. in one of the victims is a school administrator, and there are two gunshot victims that were transported to the hospital in des moines, iowa, at the state capitol about 40 miles away. what we do not have right now is that they are reports that local emergency rooms are being overwhelmed with gunshot vi
that. and so, it just didn t make sense to me why two different laws were not speaking the correct way. let s talk about that. good thing we have lonnie here to dissect the laws. so, lonnie, the officer from the dallas county sheriff s department, as we heard, told her that the law state s h-e-b users must have at least one passenger in those vehicles, and the passengers must be, quote, outside the body. we checked the state s will that recognizes a fetus as a person. it appears there is no language in the state transportation code that recognizes a fetus as a person. so, what do you think will happen here? so, this is a really interesting legal question. randy, kudos to you for your quick and creative thinking when you got caught in the hov lane. but here s the issue. in the texas transportation code, it s very clear. to qualify to be in an hov lane, you have to be a motorcycle or a vehicle occupied by two or more people.
